About Me
Hello, I’m Kathryn.
I’m a lot of things, but mostly, I am here to be of service.
My core values? Creativity, self-expression, and authenticity.
In my spare time, I am an author, storyteller, singer, hiker, idealist, and coffee lover. I am currently based in Southern Vermont and Hartford, CT, and have been lucky enough to live all over the world, including Los Angeles; New York City; Greenfield, Mass.; and Nanjing, China.
In an alternate life, I would’ve been an NCAA basketball coach (March Madness is my favorite holiday!), a dog trainer, or a stunt double.
In this life, I’m a recovered perfectionist and I’ve tried a bunch of different jobs. I’ve worked *a lot*, burned out every way I could think of, found deep satisfaction in the most surprising of jobs, and still often reimagine who I want to be when I grow up
I’ve worked nearly twenty years in nonprofits of all shapes and sizes, including twelve years with community foundations. I’ve done programming, marketing, fundraising, consulting, leadership development, and executive leadership.
What’s really driven me, though? Being more and more authentic, and helping others around me thrive in their own unique way.
That’s one of the reasons I’ve become a coach. I love people and the many perspectives we each bring to the world. That also led me to study Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, to focus on cross-cultural communication, and to mentor people of all ages and stages throughout my career.
As a certified executive coach, I bring a unique combination of analytical thinking, creativity and people skills to help social causes, philanthropists and executives move from theory to action. My job is to hold up a mirror from different angles to help you identify barriers, set goals, make plans and act. Reflection is sometimes the best catalyst.
I specialize in helping high achievers create sustainable impact while honoring their needs and personal mission. I’m motivated by vision but also relentlessly practical, and here to help you make the difference you want to see in the world.
As a white, cisgendered, heterosexual, highly educated, able-bodied U.S. citizen, I come from extensive privilege and seek to use that privilege to further the movement for equity. In this identity, I do my best to honor other people’s humanity and experiences, and when I cause harm (we all will, inevitably), to address that harm. Calls in and feedback are always welcome.
